You get to post headlines. When you comment on headlines you're showing up as a member, have a signature, and can embed images and links. As a member you'll be notified about 420 events.

I'm a member, how do I put links in my comments?

You can put a link into a comment using the following format:

[link|(some link)|(some title)]

An example being:

[link|http://yro.slashdot.org/yro/08/08/03/192222.shtml| FBI Seizes Library Computers Without Warrant]

which would appear as:

FBI Seizes Library Computers Without Warrant

I'm a member, how do I put images in my comments?

Sure, you can hotlink images -- as per standard web etiquette, either you are hosting the image on a site you own, or you are using a service such as Imageshack to host the image. Please be considerate of hotlinking anyone else, it's just not nice. You would embed an image like a like, as [image|(image url)]

I'm a member, I'd like to put a youtube video in my comment?

Similarly: [youtube|(some youtube url)]
