How Legalizing Weed Can Ruin Everything

Do you really want to hand the absolute control of marijuana to the very people who are currently harassing and jailing and terrifying us over it?

AGREED! The less government intervention the better. Legalize/re-legalize/decriminalize...whatever you want to call it...safe access to cheap weed and the ability to grow and possess as much as you want ALL without the fear of being persecuted by any authority is the ultimate goal.Nobody wants to see marijuana turn into big tobacco. There needs to be more articles like this one that talk about these questions and the impact legalization will have on recreational users. Who knows...people might inadvertantly give up rights they didn't realize they even had just to hurry along all the legislation.

first id like to say you might not want the feds involved cause they seem to screw up anything they touch. so its a ?of the lesser of the 2 evils. greedy sellers or the greedy feds. me myself would rather see no governments .there just in it for themselves . there is plenty here for all .

You know what can really ruin everything?
Going to jail over something as harmless as marijuana.

I get that dude! I am just saying it has to be legal for ANY of that to happen. And hello, have you read the laws on the states that are legal? Almost every state that is legal already has laws in place for people who don't go to dispensaries that allow them to grow a certain amount of plants....like in Cali. Actually in Maine there are NO dispensaries so you have to grow it yourself. But to say that making it legal will do more harm is ridiculous! If it remains illegal, people will still get arrested. Oh re-legalization is still legalization.

DUDE!!! Read the article, anonymous. They want marijuana to be re-legalized. And, for the same EXACT reasons you're stating. If the greedy marijuana businesses have their way you WON'T be able to grow! How could you not get that?

So you are against legalization? That is the only way any of us will be able to smoke without worry is if the government gets involved. If they don't, they will continue to arrest people because it is ILLEGAL! Your argument does not make sense. We need to fight for legalization and the ability to grow it yourself at home, not just through dispensaries and doctors. I agree that I don't want the government knowing all my information just to smoke, but I believe the government has to be involved somewhat so that we won't get arrested. Personally, I have a medical condition called fibromyalgia that is extremely painful. I can go to a dispensary to get my medicine because I have a cannabis card, but instead I grow it myself because I don't want my fingerprints and information being confiscated if the dispensary were to be busted. But until the US makes it legal throughout the states, people will keep getting arrested for it. Therefore, we have to have the government involved somewhat.
