Isaac Hayes walks on by

Isaac Hayes will be remembered mostly for "The Theme from Shaft" and his role as Chef on South Park. But he accomplished so much more. Hayes co-wrote R&B classics "Soul Man" and "Hold On, I'm Comin'," and his extended versions of "Walk On By" and "By the Time I Get to Phoenix" broke new ground at the end of the turbulent 1960s.
