    'Pineaaple Express' star pleads guilty to drug charge

    Craig Robinson, who plays Matheson in "Pineapple Express" and Darryl on "The Office," was arrested on June 29 in Culver City, California and charged with drug possession (Ecstasy and meth) and DUI. Amazingly, the media knew nothing about this as "Pineapple Express" geared up for its August 6 release. Last Friday, the L.A. District Attorney confirmed the charges and yesterday Robinson pled guilty to the X charge while the other two were dropped.

    Soul singer and arranger Isaac Hayes, who won Grammy awards and an Oscar for the theme from the 1971 action film "Shaft," has died, sheriff's officials in Memphis, Tennessee, reported Sunday.

    While interviewing Cheech & Chong, TV talk-show host Chelsea Handler admitted, "I've smoked pot. I definitely partook in pot." However, the author of the best-selling memoir Are You There, Vodka? It's Me, Chelsea added: "I like alcohol better because pot makes me feel really kind of stupid. I like to be in control of my thoughts. Vodka sharpens my skills.     Bernie Mac Dies at 50

    Comedian Bernie Mac died of pneumonia at age 50 early Saturday morning. His rep released this statement: “Actor/comedian Bernie Mac passed away this morning from complications due to pneumonia in a Chicago-area hospital. No other details are available at this time. We ask that his family’s privacy continues to be respected.” Mac, who was nominated for Emmys in 2002 and 2003 for The Bernie Mac Show, was admitted to Northwestern Memorial hospital for pneumonia on August 1 and was expected to make a full recovery. Our thoughts and prayers are with Bernie, his family and friends. RIP.

    He and his entourage were traveling on I-45 just north of Corsicana when state troopers pulled their tour bus over for expired tags.
