What Will the Candidates Do to End the Unwinnable War on Drugs?
On January 20th 2009, either the president of the United States will be a man who used to snort coke to ease his blues, or the First Lady will be a former drug addict who stole from charity to get her next fix. In this presidential campaign, there are dozens of issues that have failed to flicker into the debate, but the most striking is the failing, flailing 'War on Drugs.'

Here's how to change drug laws
The death of a young Tallahassee resident in a botched drug sting in Tallahassee has brought into stark relief the hypocrisy and dangers in this country's current marijuana laws. Please consider these changes to the rules regarding this substance, which every year comes in far behind alcohol and tobacco (both legal) in killing people and destroying lives and families.

Florida Prosecutor Stands Up For Rachel Hoffman, Refuses to Work With DEA
The fallout following Rachel Hoffman's murder is becoming intense. DEA has refused to allow three agents to testify before a grand jury regarding their involvement in the case, resulting in a surprising backlash from the State Attorney's office: State Attorney Willie Meggs has told the Tallahassee Democrat that his decision to no longer prosecute cases involving the federal Drug Enforcement Administration is, "probably more symbolic than it is substantive, but I am very serious about it."

Marijuana has an image problem. That's not the only problem with it, but its image probably keeps it lurking in the shadows: People who smoke pot are unkempt, unruly, counterculture. Best just to drink scotch or pop OxyContin.

Weed-Whacking Drug Czar Looks Silly – Sounds Foolish
Ever want to see a perfect example of rank government propaganda? Watch this public relations stunt filmed by CNN of moralist-masquerading-as-drug czar John Walters making a flaccid attempt at being funny, and relevant. The video immediately goes into a 2:30 story about outdoor cannabis in California that largely parrots the government’s party line.

America's Never-Ending Prohibition
America's alcohol prohibition lasted 13 years, filled the country's prisons, inspired contempt for the law among millions, bred corruption and produced Al Capone. What it did not do was keep Americans from drinking.

420 Your Friends to Support Federal Decrim
What do we mean by “420 your friends?” It’s simple, and yet it’s the most revolutionary act you can take to advance the cause of legalization. Contact four of your friends, persuade them to contact Congress and indicate their support for H.R. 5843, and then have each of them contact four of their friends and get them to do the same.
